Mary Ann Hilbert
Hilbert, Mary Ann, 83, of Taylorsville, passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at her home with family at her side. Mary Ann was born to the late Harry and Minnie Combs Parrott. She was a 1951 graduate of Ursuline Academy; a retired employee of General Electric where she had worked for over 20 years; and a member of St. Athanasius Catholic Church. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Francis Hilbert; her foster parents, John and Essie Schaefer; her foster sister, Brenda Sue Schaefer, and foster brother, Jack Schaefer. Remaining to cherish her memory are her children, Bernard F. Hilbert II (Carol), and Dewey Hilbert (Deanna); a sister, Carolyn Kopp; brothers, Tommy Schaefer, and Michael Schaefer; grandchildren, Julie Ann Bailey (Steven), Jeannie Lynn Miller (John), Brent Joseph Hilbert, George Andrew Hilbert (Lauren), Jacob Dewey Hilbert (Keren), and Maryanna Marie Brewer (T.J.); as well as her great-grandchildren, Landon, Brooklyn, Aliya, Addison, Raylan, Riley, Raegan, Carlos and Kaeden. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at St. Athanasius Catholic Church, 5915 Outer Loop. Visitation will be 3 - 8 PM Monday, April 17, 2017 at Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home, 3800 Bardstown Road. In accordance with her wishes, cremation will occur following her Mass.
