GALESBURG - Mary L. Hagan, 89, Galesburg, formerly of Kewanee, died at 10:22 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, 2016, at Marigold Care Center Galesburg Il. Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 17, 2016, at the Schueneman & Tumbleson funeral home with the Rev. Dan Craig officiating. Visitation will be 12 p.m. until time of service Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Mount Olivet cemetery. Mary was born Nov. 18, 1926, in rural Kewanee daughter of George P. and Mary A. (Martin) German. She married Joseph Hagan on Oct. 21, 1945, in Oak Park. He preceded her in death in 2013. She was also preceded in death by two brothers Bob and Bud and two sisters Elaine and Helen. Mary had been employed as a nurse's aide in Kewanee and later worked at Admiral in Galesburg, prior to her retirement. She enjoyed reading, nature and animals, country western music and spending time with her family. Surviving are a son, Daniel (Linda) Hagan of Springfield; a daughter Sue Ann (Chuck) Johnson of Cambridge; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
