MARY FRANCES GLEASON April 22, 1936 ~ February 23, 2018 Mary Frances Gleason, of Red Bluff, passed away on Friday, February 23, 2018. She was 81. Mary was born on April 22, 1936, in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. After completing her K-12 education, she earned her BA at Beloit College in 1958. Soon after, she married Bernie Gleason, her college sweetheart. Together they moved west to Oregon and then to Red Bluff in 1960. Mary was a mom and house wife for several years before also becoming a kindergarten teacher at Jackson Heights Elementary School, where she had a lasting impact on countless kids and developed lifelong friendships with many of her peers. Mary is predeceased by Bernie, her husband of 58 years, as well as her brother, Ken, her mother, Frances, and her father, Ken. She is survived by daughter Kathy and her husband John of Fresno, son Darren of Redding, and son Patrick and his wife Annalisa of Red Bluff. In addition, she is survived by grandchildren Jessica, Zachary, Drake, Sophie, Riley, Kevin, Shea, and Sarah, as well as great granddaughter Avery. Those who knew and loved Mary the most remember her for being fiercely loyal to her family, having a well developed sense of humor, and wanting never to be in the spotlight. Because of her private nature, there will be no public service. Mary was a devoted, generous, and long time donor to numerous charities. With this in mind, those wishing to are encouraged to donate to the charity of their choice in Mary's memory.
