In memory of
Mary Morton Etheridge
Mary Morton Etheridge, died unexpectedly Tuesday, April 18th, at her home. Born April 17, 1934, in Elk City, Oklahoma, she moved to West Texas with her family near Earth, Texas, when she was seven-years-old. Her parents, Eugene and Ruby Morton, farmed in Big Square near Muleshoe, and Mary attended Earth-Spring Lake Consolidated Schools. She attended Baylor University. Mary was a school teacher for many years in Houston and San Antonio, but what she would want to be remembered for is being the mother of two wonderful children. She was proudly independent and managed her business affairs to insure that her children had more opportunities than she did as a child in West Texas. Her children were her joy! Private services for family only. She is preceded in death by her brother, Clifton Morton and her niece, Leah Morton of Boulder, CO. Survivors include her beloved children Katy Etheridge and Blake Etheridge and her sister-in-law Judy Nuhn Morton. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to San Antonio Pets Alive!, P.O. Box 830006, San Antonio TX 78283.
