Mary Lou Crowley
January 8, 2017 Mary Louise Nealon Crowley, 78, of Mechanicsburg and formerly of Scranton, passed away on Sunday morning at West Shore Hospital, Mechanicsburg, surrounded by her family, after a year-long battle with leukemia. Mary is survived by her husband, Paul F. Crowley Sr. The couple had been married for 57 years. Born in Scranton, on October 16, 1938, daughter of the late Dr. John P. and Mary Jones Nealon, Mary was a graduate of South Scranton Catholic High School, Class of 1956. Mary loved to spend time with her family, grandchildren, and her new great-grandson, Piper. She enjoyed participating in the Nativity Bowling League in South Scranton and the Trindle Bowling League in Mechanicsburg. She also loved singing and dancing with the Nativity Altar and Rosary Society, and spent time raising money for the Heart Foundation. Mary enjoyed connecting with family and friends on Facebook and Skype, playing her online card and POGO games with friends, and watching movies. Mary was a 25 year season ticket holder for Hershey Theatre and enjoyed going to see the shows. She liked going to birthday lunches with friends and back-to-school Olive Garden lunches with her grandchildren. Also surviving are two sons, Paul and wife, Susan, Paxtonia, and Timothy, Scranton; a daughter, Mary Ellen and fiance, Alex "Primo" DiSanto Jr., Harrisburg, a brother, John "Jack" Nealon and wife Catherine, Scranton, six grandchildren, Caitlin and husband, Jordan Kaye, James, Allison, John, Kayleen, and Grace Crowley; and a great- grandchild, Piper Kaye. The family would like to thank Hershey Medical Center, particularly Dr. Claxton, Hillary, and all the nurses, as well as the nurses and doctors at West Shore Hospital. The funeral will be conducted on Friday, with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:45 am in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 400 E. Simpson St, Mechanicsburg. The family will receive friends on Friday morning in the church, from 8:45 am until the commencement of services. Interment, Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. Arrangements entrusted to the Frank M. Regan Funeral Home, 715 Linden Street, Scranton.
