FAIRBORN — Mary Moyer Criblez, 71, passed away peacefully in the afternoon of October 13, 2016 following a stroke, 10 years to the week after the passing of her beloved husband of 40 years Thomas L. Criblez of Bluffton. She was born March 8, 1945 in Lima to Adrian and Beulah (Roberts) Moyer who preceded her in death. Her sister, Janice Kuldau also preceded her in death. Mary is survived by her two daughters, Linda (Arthur Higbee) Criblez of Saratoga, CA, and Sally Criblez of Bethesda, MD; her sister, Nancy Saddler of Harrod, OH; her brother, Carl (Nolene) Moyer of Fort Lauderdale, FL; and three grandsons, Gabriel, Jackson and Grant Higbee of Saratoga, CA. She was a graduate of Lafayette High School and a member of County Line Church of the Brethren. She was a dental assistant for 40 years and retired in 2006. Mary was blessed with a loving family to whom she devoted nearly all of her time. She traveled throughout the country to spend time with her children and grandchildren, eventually moving to Rockville, MD to be near her daughters. A place she held dear was Petoskey, MI where she took her daughters nearly every year until they were grown. She loved to sit on a rock by Lake Michigan and read novels. She was a warm woman who developed deep friendships and she will be dearly missed by her many friends and family members. A memorial service will begin at 3 p.m. on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at Chiles-Laman Funeral Home in Bluffton and all are welcome. Pastor David Thompson will officiate.
