Mary Ellen Boynton Churchill, 90, of Shell Point, Fort Myers, FL, formerly of Menlo Park, CA, and Easton, MA, passed away September 19, 2016. She was born June 12, 1926, in Mansfield, MA, to Charles T. and Mary (Tucker) Boynton. She and her husband of 52 years owned and operated Churchill Real Estate and Insurance Agency in Brockton, MA, before retiring in 1997. Mary Ellen was a member of Sanibel Community Church, Sanibel, FL, where she was a Stephen Minister and Logos volunteer. She also served as a volunteer at the Shell Point Pavilion. Beloved wife of the late Warren L. Churchill who died in 2008, she was also preceded in death by her oldest son, Alan Boynton Churchill who passed in 2005; and three sisters, Ruth Roderick, Edith Sullivan and Clara Wilson. Survived by three children, Daniel W. (Jean) Churchill of Jensen Beach, FL, Diana L. Churchill of Hilton Head, SC, and Kenneth L. (Shirley) Churchill of Frisco, TX; and eight grandchildren, Raija, Spencer, Manus, Lovie, Karis, Isaac, Abi and Zefan; beloved brother, Edwin F. (Mary) Boynton; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral and memorial service Saturday, October 29, 2016, at 10:30 a.m. at Sanibel Community Church Chapel, 1740 Periwinkle Way, Sanibel, FL 33957.
