ROSSVILLE — Mary Evelyn Barnes, 93, passed away Saturday, Oct. 15, 2016, at her residence. She was a life-long resident of the North Georgia area and worked as a secretary for Walker County Board of Education, for over 30 years. Mary was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of LaFayette for over 60 years. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Gertrude Bloodworth; her loving husband, RM Barnes; sister, Foye Lee Price; and nephew, Brian Price. Survivors include her daughter, Elizabeth (Paul) Page; grandchildren, Brent Page, Travis Page, Terri (Jason) Edwards, PJ Page; great-grandchildren, Shelby Edwards, Connor Edwards, Trey Page, Kobi Page; and nephew, Steve Price. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. today, at the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Jason Thomas officiating. Interment will be in LaFayette Memory Gardens.
