Martin Lopez Castro July 27, 1948 - October 12, 2016 Martin Lopez Castro, 68, entered into rest surrounded by his loving family on October 12, 2016 in Stockton, California. He was born in Lathrop on July 27, 1948 to the late Hermann and Josephine Castro. In Heaven Martin joins his parents, siblings and his adored daughter Gloria Ann Castro. He leaves behind his loving wife of 45 years Georgianna Castro of French Camp; his children, Mary Elizabeth, Martin Victor and John Lorenzo "Larry" (Athena) Castro all French Camp. He was blessed with nine grandchildren, Andrew, Antonio, Georgianna and Alexander Gutierrez, Elizabeth and Kaleigh Castro, Josephine Valdez, Morelia and Elijah Montez and Emily Yanez-Castro. In addition he was blessed with one great grandchild, Adalina Gutierrez. Martin is also survived by four siblings, John Castro, Alfred Castro, Toribio Castro and Elizabeth Saldana. Martin was a French Camp resident living his entire life in the San Joaquin Valley. He was owner and operator of Castro Trucking for many years and would eventually retire. He enjoyed the outdoors; fishing or just spending time in his yard watering his many plants. Martin loved a good joke and he had a wonderful witty sense of humor. Like any great dad he loved bossing his kids around, as they lovingly referred to him as "The Ol Man". He would never pass up the opportunity to go for a car ride, patiently waiting to see who was out the door next to yell out "Me Too". He loved his family dearly and his greatest joy was seeing them all together. He will be remembered as a most loving husband, amazing father and special grandpa. He will be deeply missed. P.L. Fry is honored to serve the Castro family. A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2016 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm at P.L. Fry and Son Funeral Home, 290 North Union Road, Manteca, CA. A Celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 21, 2016 at 10:00 am at P.L. Fry and Son. He will be laid to rest at Stockton Rural, 2350 Cemetery Lane, Stockton, CA.
