Martha Gregory Frost, 82, passed away on Jan. 12, 2017, at Alaska Regional Hospital due to complications of C.O.P.D. A memorial service will be held on Monday, Jan. 16, 2017, at First Baptist Church, 1100 West 10th Avenue in Anchorage. It will officiated by Pastor Paul Frost and Pastor Tim Sergie. Martha was born on March 29, 1934, in Bethel, Alaska. She was raised in Bethel, Alaska, and moved to Anchorage in 1954. Martha was a commercial fisherman and she also worked at Central Supply at Alaska Native Medical Center. She was a member of First Native Baptist Church. Her hobbies were playing bingo and crocheting. Her family said: "She was a strong fighter. She always had strong faith and was a true believer in prayer." Martha was preceded in death by her mother, Helen Sergie; brother, Paul Gregory; Julie Sergie, Moses, Joseph, Christine and Mary Neck; Waska and Robert Awalin; and many other family members too numerous to name. She is survived by her sons, Paul (Laura), Peter (Maria) and Michael (Elizabeth); grandchildren, Aaron (Margie) of Togiak, Adrian (Tracy) of Anchorage, Alan (Heidi) of Anchorage, Rachel (Joseph) Trekell of Anchorage, Sarah (Nathan) Quirk of Anchorage, Ruth of Anchorage, Esther of Anchorage and Michael J. of Anchorage; and 13 great-grandchildren, Joshua, Jadan (Buzz), Bryce, Donovan, Keyshon, Keagan, Katie, Kellen, Jameson, Julie, Joesphine, Jameson and Liam. Arrangements have been entrusted to Legacy Funeral Home, Witzleben Chapel.
