Mark Cantrell Jr.
URBANA — Mark Anthony Cantrell Jr., 27, of Urbana, passed away, Saturday, Feb. 10, 2017, in his home. He was born Nov. 1, 1989, in Springfield, Ohio, and was a 2007 graduate of Graham High School. Mark served his country in the United States Army specializing in telecommunications in the Middle East in Iraq. He was a true outdoorsman; he loved hunting and camping. He is survived by his mother, Teresa Cantrell (Clarence Meiring), his father, Mark Cantrell (Linda Hamilton), his daughter, Vivanne Cantrell, sisters, Ashley Cantrell, Crystal Meiring and Carolann Cantrell and his nephew, Chase Bragg; grandparents, Carol (Ed) Smith and Charles E. Cantrell (Sandra Parker), his aunt and uncles, Penny Tucker (Dave Shinkle) and Steve Kurtz; a great-aunt, Joyce Stephens, his cousins, Jessica Campbell, Scott Tucker, Nikki Maurice, Aaron Kurtz and Rachel Skinner, as well as numerous other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, 2017, in the Vernon Funeral Home, Urbana. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Mental Health, Drug & Alcohol Services Board of Logan & Champaign Counties, 1521 N. Detroit St., West Liberty, OH 43357.
