Marjorie D. Johnson
WINDSOR - Marjorie D. Johnson, 89, of Windsor, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2017. She was born in Baltimore, Md. to the late Henry and Azaliee Minser Odom on April 7, 1927. She was a long-time resident of Meriden, where she resided with her late husband, Kenneth Johnson Sr. She was employed as a jewelry inspector with Napier Manufacturing. Marjorie leaves to cherish her memory, sons, George Holloman and Kenneth Johnson, Jr.; daughter, Pamela (Emanuel) Brown; brother, Henry Odom; sister, Bessie (Cal) Hackett; grandchildren, Lisa, Chinita, Shawna, and Tarjai; six great-grandchildren; special niece, Doris Epps; special cousin, Ellaweise Minser; and a host of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her brother, William Odom; and sister, Lavina Minser Golden. A celebration of life will take place Friday, Feb. 17, at 11: a.m. at Mount Hebron Baptist Church, 84 Franklin St, Meriden. Friends may call Friday at the church from 9 to 11 a.m. Interment will take place at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Meriden. Services by Howard K. Hill Funeral Services, 1287 Chapel St., New Haven, CT 06511.
