Marion G. Wakal
Marion G. Wakal, 86, of Jeannette, died Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2017, in RNC of Greater Pittsburgh. He was born Oct. 21, 1930, in Knox, Ind., a son of the late Harry and Mary Bach Wakal. Prior to retirement, he worked as a district manager of sales at Royston Jaguar. He was an Army veteran, having served during the Korean War. He was a member of Penn Zion Lutheran Church, Harrison City, Police Rod and Gun Club, Lincoln Heights Sportsmen and Irwin Sportsmen. He was an avid gardener and hunter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five siblings, Andrew, Joseph, Harry and his twin, William Wakal, and Olga Wagner. He is survived by his wife of more than 60 years, Janet Mohrmann Wakal; three children, Eileen Wakal, of South Carolina, Ken Wakal and his wife, Katie, of Jeannette, and Laurel Wakal, of Jeannette; a brother, Russell Wakal and his wife, Kit, of Canada; and numerous nieces and nephews.
