Marion (Gray) Shepp Of Waltham, formerly of Lexington, October 8, 2016. Wife of Allan Shepp. Mother of Russell Gray and his wife Hong Gu of New York, NY, and Susan Anderson of Waltham. Sister of Jane Buchanan of Nashville, TN, and the late James Walker Gray. She is also survived by grandson, Alexander Shepp, and by several nieces and nephews. Marion was a graduate of Oberlin College and of Ithaca College in Music and studied at BU with Anthony J. Newman who is now a renowned organist-conductor in New York. Marion was a noted local Organist at Follen Church, Lexington, and at Congregational Church, Lincoln. She taught piano and harpsichord at the Longy School in Cambridge as well as in the local area. Marion was active in NAMI (Nat. Assoc. Mental Illness) and in the MASS DMH as a representative of the Cambridge-Middlesex area. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, October 12 at the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd., Lexington, from 4pm to 7pm. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. A Memorial Service will be celebrated at Follen Church in Lexington at a later date (to be announced).
