Marion Hope Carbaugh 1918—2016 Marion Hope Carbaugh, 98, of Lanark, IL passed away Saturday, October 15, 2016. She was born in Chadwick, IL on March 20, 1918, to Arthur Lott Sr. and Pearl Mary Martha (Queckboerner) Lott. She married Robert Lee Carbaugh on December 22, 1937, in Davenport, IA. Marion was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Lanark, IL. She was involved in many activities and organizations including teaching Sunday school, Church Council member, ELCA member, World Relief Quilting volunteer, and the Carroll County Riding Club. Her hobbies included horseback riding and enjoying her vegetable and flower gardens. Marion enjoyed her fellowship with family and friends most of all. Survivors include two sons, Kenneth (Linda) Carbaugh of Freeport, Stanley (Elsie) Carbaugh of Medford, WI; daughter, Judy (LaMont) Dorsey of Freeport; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Rena Mannon of Prophetstown, IL. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; four brothers; and two sisters. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 19, 2016, at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 312 S. High St., Lanark, IL, with visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. Reverend Steve Myers will officiate. Burial will be at Lanark Cemetery.
