LOAMI - Marilynn Sue Williams, 64, of Loami, died Feb. 8, 2017, at Memorial Hospital in Springfield. Born Feb. 23, 1952 in Columbia, Missouri, the daughter of Dwight Chamberlain Jr. and Catherine (Henry) Chamberlain. She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Dwight Lawrence Chamberlain III. She is survived by her daughter, Annena Williams, and granddaughter, Kaynee Moore, both of Bloomington. She is also survived by her sisters Beverly Hart (Richard, deceased) of Franklin, Brenda Goodey (companion, Steve Cronenwett) of Loami, and brother Donald Chamberlain (companion, Mary Winningham) of Franklin. Also, surviving are many dearly-loved nieces and nephews. Marilynn graduated from Jacksonville High School in 1970 and married her high school sweetheart, Rick Williams. They later divorced. She worked at Waddell's as a secretary for six years before becoming disabled. Marilynn was happiest when spending time with her daughter and granddaughter. She loved bird watching and listening to Country Gospel music every Sunday morning. She was talented at crafts and loved to crochet. Marilynn was a loving, kind-hearted, and generous person. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn't go alone, for part of us went with you the day God took you home. Though the smile is gone forever and your hands we cannot touch. We will always have sweet memories of the one we loved so much. Memorials are suggested for Marilynn's granddaughter, Kaynee's, education. Attn: Annena Williams, 829 W. Oakland Ave, Bloomington, IL 61701. A celebration of life will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, for family and friends at the Moose Lodge in Jacksonville.
