In memory of
Marilda M. Barry (Billie) Judd
MARILDA M. DOWNS JUDD CARLSBAD, CA. Billie, she was known as Billie by all who knew and loved her. The name Billie was given to her because she came from the beautiful hills of Tennessee (Hill Billie). Billie was born on February 25, 1925 to Walter and Frocie Downs of Model RT 1, Tennessee. Billie was proceeded in death by her husband, Gene, four siblings, and her parents. Billie Judd passed away peacefully on September 26, 2016 at her assisted living home, Sunrise @ LaCosta, Carlsbad, Ca. with her son and daughter at her side. Billie was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother and friend to many, dedicated to them all. She loved working in the garden and did have a green thumb. She loved to cook ethnic food, especially Mexican food, she introduced Mexican food to Brigham City, Utah when she moved there in 1960 with her family. She loved to travel with her lifelong husband and companion, Gene Judd (Married December 24, 1942). They traveled all over the world and made friends in all places. Billie worked during WWII in a firestone fuel bladder factory. Later in life she worked at May Company and for Hamiliton Drugs. In all work locations from California to Utah she loved the people she worked with and her customers. She enjoyed socializing and just talking with her friends and customers about their life and experiences. Billie loved her kids and grandkids. She always had treats and loved to go visit them. Billie is survived by her Daughter, Sherry Lynn Hulstine and Son, Barry Gene Judd. Billie, in 1997 made the brave decision along-side her husband Gene to put in her directive to donate her body to UCSD. That wish came true and she is now in the hands of the capable, thankful and respectful future Doctors of UCSD.
