Marie C. LeBlanc
SPRINGFIELD - Marie C. LeBlanc, 95, died Monday, April 10, 2017, at Valley Regional Hospital in Claremont, New Hampshire, surrounded by her family. She was born April 10, 1922, in Coaticook, Quebec, Canada, the daughter of Edward and Delphine (Roberge) Provencher. She moved to Graniteville and attended Walden Heights Schools. She was a factory and foundry worker in her younger years. On June 6, 1942, she married Dominic LeBlanc in Hardwick. He died in 1988. Mrs. LeBlanc was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Springfield. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, reading, watching the Red Sox and New England Patriots and was known for her chocolate chip cookies and banana bread. Survivors include six children, Lawrence LeBlanc, of Temecula, California, Roger LeBlanc, of Claremont, Lucille Peavey, of Liberty, Maine, Loretta Thomas, Lillian Burns, Noella Forbush, all of Springfield; 24 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by a son, Lucien LeBlanc, and by five brothers and two sisters. Calling hours will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday, May 12, at Davis Memorial Chapel in Springfield. The memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 13, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Springfield, with the Rev. Peter Williams officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in Springfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to One Credit Union, in care of Marie LeBlanc, 5 Kinney Place, Claremont, NH 03743 to set up a scholarship.
