Marie Bouza, age 73 peacefully entered into her eternal rest on October 17th, 2016. She was a mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, wife, and a friend to all who knew her. Being Grandma-ma meant most to her. She was born on July 18th, 1943 and raised in Flint, Michigan. She moved to New Orleans with five small children in 1972. She grew a strong love for the city and created lifelong friendships. Anyone who knew Marie loved her. She had the kindest of hearts and would go out of her way to show generosity to so many and expected absolutely nothing in return. She had a witty sense of humor and a gift to make others laugh. Everyone was like family to her. Marie was a wonderful cook and loved cooking for her family and spending time with them. She LOVED, LOVED, LOVED the Saints and was a true diehard fan. She also enjoyed fishing with the love of her life in Cocodrie and hosting fish fry's at her home. She will be remembered for her selflessness and unconditional love she had for her family and friends along with her devotion to her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Mildred Czerwinski and Henry Czerwinski. She is now reunited with her daughters Karleen Bouza and Jodi Bouza and her grandchildren, Ericalyn Bouza and Mason Baylen Manville. She is survived by the love of her life and best friend Jon Nastasi, her brothers, Sonny and Tom Czerwinski, her children Micque Voges, Eric Bouza, Brandie Bouza, Kevin Bouza, and Kelli and Braton Manville. Her grandchildren were her heart: Kiley, Kinyson and Karley Voges, Karleen, Presley, Raegyn and Abigail Bouza, Blythe and Greer Bouza, and Dryden, Brinley, Ryland, Remney and Brodyn Manville. Her daughters would like to express their gratitude to their stepfather, Jon Nastasi for loving her unconditionally, never leaving her side, and caring for her during her illness along with the nurses from Cannon Hospice. Services will be private. To view and sign the family guestbook, please visit www.lakelawnmetairie.com.
