Mary Stadnik, 102, passed away on January 12, 2017. Born August 18, 1914, in Lipno, Poland. Survivor of a WWII labor camp in Germany. Widow of the late Joseph M. Stadnik (1989) and Ludwig Banasik (1948). Loving mother of Edward (Kim) Stadnik, Z. Stan (Lynn) Banasik, Anna (Bob) Nadolski, Teresa (Samuel) Ortiz, and Richard (Denise) Stadnik. Loving Busia of 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Buttressed by a strong, abiding faith throughout her life, Mary survived the ravages of a devastating world war, immigrated to the United States after the war with her two young sons and successfully eked out a life for herself and her children in her adopted country. Visitation Monday, January 16, from 3 to 9 p.m. at Muzyka & Son Funeral Home, 5776 W. Lawrence Ave., Chicago. Family and friends will meet Tuesday, January 17, at St. Hyacinth Basilica, 3636 W.
