MARIAN WIESER, 87, passed away Saturday, Oct. 15, 2016, in Fort Wayne. Born in Nashua, N.H., Marian worked as a public school music teacher in Kendall ville, Elkhart, Muncie, Marion, and Decatur. She also worked as an administrative assistant with Family & Children's Services in Fort Wayne for many years. Marian taught piano and organ at home and at Fred Myers Piano Studio. She was an active member of First Wayne Street United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women, Sigma Alpha Iota professional music organization, and the Music Teachers National Association. Surviving are her daughter, Rebecca "Becky" Wieser of Fort Wayne; sister, Janet Holloway of Fort Wayne; niece, Cindy (Dan) Kelly of Fort Wayne; nephew, Jim Holloway of Fort Wayne; niece, Bonnie (Matt) DeLong of Fishers, Ind.; several grand nephews and one grand niece. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert F. Wieser, in 1973; and parents, Rev. Russell A. and Grace Fenstermacher. Service is 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21, 2016, at First Wayne Street United Methodist Church, 300 E. Wayne St., with visitation one hour prior. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, 2016, at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to First Wayne Street United Methodist Church.
