Marian L. Goodrich
Marian L. Lynn Goodrich, 90, of Ligonier, died Friday, Oct. 14, 2016, in Bethlen Home. She was born Jan. 25, 1926, in Fairfield Township, a daughter of the late William and Cora Wambaugh Rhoades. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a bank teller for the former Mellon Bank in Ligonier. Marian was a devoted member of the Covenant Presbyterian Church. She had also been a tax collector for Ligonier Borough and Ligonier Township . She loved to garden and cook for her family. She will be remembered as a woman of great faith and with a gentle spirit. A favorite saying of Marian's was, "Family Is Always First." In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Glenn F. Lynn, in 1954; her second husband, Millard Goodrich, in 1999; and three brothers, James, Donald, and Charles Rhoades. Marian is survived by three children, Debra L. Brallier, of Ligonier, Amy D. Miller, of Great Falls, Va., and Joseph G. (Lisa) Lynn, of Ligonier; seven grandchildren, Jess (Heidi Bertels) Brallier, Laurie (David) Anderson, Travis (Elizabeth) Lynn, Justin (Natalie) Miller, Brent Miller, and Katie Jo and John Lynn; four great grandchildren, Jasper and Maelie Lynn, Anouk Brallier, and Isla Anderson; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the J. PAUL McCRACKEN FUNERAL CHAPEL INC., 144 E. Main Street, Ligonier, where her life will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, with her pastor, the Rev. Robert D. Cummings, officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Palmer Cemetery. It was Marian's wish that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to Covenant Presbyterian Church. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the nurses and staff of Bethlen Home for the loving and compassionate care given to their mother.
