MILLER, Marguerite (Kelly) Passed away April 14, 2017, at the Guardian Angel Assisted Living Facility in Liberty Lake, WA. She was born December 7, 1917, to James and Mary Anna (Mae) Kelly and was raised in Lamont, WA where she attended school at the Dewey School, graduating from Lamont High School in 1934. After her high school graduation, she briefly attended beauty school, then returned to Lamont where she married Dave Miller. They farmed for many years in the Lamont area, divorcing in November, 1969. Marguerite remained in the area and worked as a bus driver and cook for the Lamont School District until she retired. She was an active member of the Lamont Women's Club, a member and past Master of the Lamont Grange, and a member of the Lamont Kitchen Kuties, a "novelty band" which travelled and appeared throughout the state. After retirement, she moved to the Holman Gardens Retirement Community in Spokane, and eventually to the Guardian Angel Assisted Living Facility where she resided until her death. Marguerite was preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Marie Whiteside, Alice Kelly, Francis Kelly and Ronald Kelly. She leaves behind nieces Sherrill (Kelly) Nelson, Lois (Whiteside) Crow, Darlene Kelly, nephews Wayne Kelly and James Kelly. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, April 21, at CHENEY FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1632. W. First St., Cheney WA 99004.
