Rutledge, Margaret Margaret Rutledge passed away peacefully October 8, 2016 at the age of 97. She was born in Abbeyfeale, Co. Limerick, Ireland and known as Madgie Fitz. She immigrated to the United States in 1970. Margaret worked as a butter-maker at Mount Collins Creamery in Ireland and as a cook at St. Mary's Rectory in Yonkers for 25 years. She is widowed by her two husbands David O'Connor who passed away in 1947 and Bobby Rutledge who passed away in 1995. She is predeceased by six sisters and two brother, two sons Patrick O'Connor and Danny O'Connor and two grandchildren Kerry Sheehan and David O'Connor. Margaret is survived by her daughter Catherine Sheehan, six grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at 11:00 am at St. Gabriel Church, 914 Newfield Avenue in Stamford and burial at Queen of Peace Cemetery, 124 Rock Rimmon Road in Stamford. No calling hours will be held. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Margaret's memory to Parents and Friends of Lower Fairfield Regional Center, 146 Silvermine Avenue, Norwalk, CT 06850.
