Margaret L. "Peg" Morgan
SHAVERTOWN — Margaret "Peg" L. Morgan, 87, of Shavertown, passed away peacefully Friday, Oct. 14, 2016, in Celtic Hospice Inpatient Unit at Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre. Born in Hanover Green, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Verde (Welch) Lewis. Peg was a graduate of Hanover High School, class of 1946. After graduation, she was employed by Bell Telephone Company. Peg later moved to Michigan and was employed by General Motors. In 1967, Peg moved to Shavertown and became the head of her household. She was a member of Irem Temple and its Silver Slippers and was a longtime member of Shavertown United Methodist Church. Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, was her husband of 60 years, Richard "Dick" K. Morgan. Surviving are sons, Robert O. Morgan and wife, Rhona, of Chicago, Ill., Thomas R. Morgan and wife, Nancy Ann, of Fleming Island, Fla.; grandchildren, Allison Morgan, Rianne Wolfe and husband, Allan, Vincent Perhach and wife, Connie; six great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18, from the Harold C. Snowdon Funeral Home Inc., 140 N. Main St., Shavertown. The Rev. Judy L. Walker will officiate. Interment will be in Hanover Green Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 17, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 3551 N. Broad St., Philadelphia, PA 19140. Peg is once again dancing with her husband.
