Margaret B. McCullough (1914-2016) A Memorial Mass celebrating the extraordinary life of Margaret McCullough will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, October 14th, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 211 Atlantic Ave., Shreveport. Margaret Buckell McCullough, 102, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2016 in Shreveport. She was born January 15, 1914 near London, England. In 1945, Margaret married Jesse G. McCullough, Jr. and adopted Jesse's hometown of Shreveport as her own. Margaret was a teacher at St. Joseph's School for many years and was an active member of St. Joseph Church and St. Catherine of Siena Church. She also was an accomplished author. Her book, "Diary of a Wartime Traveler", describes her journeys during World War II and how she met her husband during the war. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years. She is survived by three sons, Jesse, Michael and Justin; four grandchildren, Scott, Jeffery, Michael and Michelle; and five great grandchildren, Aiden, Ava, Summer, April and Autumn. Margaret was a great, strong, wonderful woman who will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
