Blacksburg, S.C. - Margaret Wylie Martin, 83, formerly of 111 Leagan Drive, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born in York, she was the widow of the late Arthur Martin and the daughter of the late James A. Wylie and Mary Childers Wylie. She was a homemaker, loved animals, enjoyed cooking, loved writing and was a published poet. Mrs. Martin had a great love for her family, especially her grandchildren and was a member of Eastside Baptist Church. Surviving are three daughters, Bonita Hullender and husband, Joel of Blacksburg, Matilda Wille and husband, Brian of Spartanburg and Regina Upchurch and husband, James of Gaffney; six grandchildren, Bryan Hullender and wife, Rebekah, Arthur Secrest and wife, April, Michael Secrest and wife, Jennifer, Shannon Jackson and husband, Josh, Bryce Wille and wife, Rebekah and Trevor Wille; and ten great-grandchildren. Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by a brother, Bruce Franklin Houser. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2 p.m. on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at Blakely Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2 p.m. in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Robert Wells and Mrs. Matilda Wille officiating.
