Margaret Louise "Meg" Ervin
Margaret "Meg" Louise Ervin Eugene, OR 1934 - 2017 Margaret Louise Ervin was born in San Franciso, California on December 11, 1934 to Terrell George and Gertrude Enora Wright. Margaret went to be with the Lord on March 28, 2017 while surrounded by her three children. She left behind her son, Michael E. Ervin (Julie), of Redding, California, daughter, Eileen L. Dugan (Chuck) of Oroville, California and daughter, Loreen A. Ervin of Eugene. Also by her side was one of her surviving sisters, Gertrude E. Ellis of Eugene. She also leaves behind 5 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, an older brother Hank Wright of Redding, California and baby sister Clara Blagg of Oroville, CA. Meg as she was known to family & friends was proceeded in death by her husband Edward A. Ervin. Meg graduated from the nursing program at San Francisco Children's Hospital in 1956. She stepped away from nursing when she became a mother to raise her family. She and her husband Ed moved to Eugene in 1976 and after Ed's passing she went to work as a traffic coordinator for Champion International. She continued in this profession with U.S. Plywood and Georgia Pacific until retirement. Meg loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also loved knitting and was famous for the blankets and slippers she made for family throughout her life. She was very athletic in her younger years and enjoyed playing golf and was an avid bowler. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Eugene. The family asks in lieu of flowers that donations be made in honor of Meg to the American Cancer Society or Cascade Hospice Foundation.
