FERMANI MARCELLO 91, passed away March 28, 2017. Beloved husband to his wife of 62 years, Francesca Fermani; loving father to his childen, Mia (Ken) Fonteyn, Mimi (Richard) Shaw, David (Rachel) Fermani; Nonno to his grandchildren, Dominic, Lorenzo, Theo, Luciano, Francesca, and Gianluca. Born in Fermo, Italy, he moved to Windsor, Canada in 1948, married in October 1955, raised his family in Redford, Michigan, and later became a full time resident in Jensen Beach, Florida. In 1960, Marcel pioneered the use of resin as the binder similar to cement. He incorporated the resin into a viable end product - a true polymer concrete in the form of a lightweight precast building panel. He was the founder of Architectural Research Corp. and inventor with many patents of polymer concrete building products that were installed all over the world. He was an artist in the creation of stained glass panels installed in churches throughout the US, a wine maker, and an entrepreneur. He was a man of integrity and strong character, incredibly generous and handsome with a personality to match. Marcello Fermani accomplished so much in his life. We are all so proud of this man. In turn we know he was proud of his children, beautiful grandchildren, and his dedicated wife Frances, who took such great care of him, especially in his final years, months, weeks and days. A private memorial will be held.
