Maleita E. Cram
BRANDON - Maleita Elizabeth Cram, 88, died Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2017, at her home. She was born in Brandon March 18, 1928, the daughter of Alson and Sadie (Whitney) Stone. She received her education in Brandon. She married Edward A. Cram March 1, 1944, in Forest Dale. Mr. Cram died Nov. 2, 1992. In earlier years, Mrs. Cram worked as a nurse's aide at the old Brandon Training School. She later waited tables at Yankee Kitchen Restaurant in Brandon. She attended the Forest Dale Wesleyan Church. Survivors include seven children John Cram, Judy Martin, both of Brandon, Edwin Cram of Salisbury, Janet Thomas of Goshen, Kathy Clark and Diane Gee, both of Proctor, and Nora Rochon of Leicester; two siblings, Eugene Stone, of Faison, North Carolina, and Myrta Pitts, of Rutland; 34 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by four children Alfred Cram, Jane Hutchins, Wilma Euber and Sheryl Thomas; four siblings Vera Cram, Arlene, Alvin and Cleo Stone; and six grandchildren. The funeral service will be held at noon Saturday, Jan. 14, at Forest Dale Wesleyan Church, where calling hours will begin at 10 a.m. A reception will follow back at the home place. Burial will be at a later date in Pine Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions, in lieu of flowers, may be made to Forest Dale Wesleyan Church, 67 Getcha Lane, Pittsford, VT 05763. Arrangements are by Miller & Ketcham Funeral Home in Brandon.
