M. Geraldine Gerry (Sullivan) Hoyle, age 102, formerly of Braintree, died peacefully, Sunday, February 12, 2017, at her daughters home in Brewster, surrounded by her loving family. Gerry was born in Quincy, raised and educated in Quincy Point and graduated from Quincy High School, Class of 1932. She lived in Braintree for twenty-nine years, previously living in Quincy. She was an active member of her community as well as her church, Saint Josephs Parish in Quincy. She was a devoted homemaker who with her husband raised five daughters. Gerry was an accomplished pianist, organist and painter. Beloved wife of the late T. Gerard Hoyle. Devoted mother of Barbara Healy of Bristol, Rhode Island and her late husband John Healy, Margaret Meehan and her husband Alan of Pensacola, Florida, Marilyn Hoyle and Mary Hoyle both of Brewster and the late Dorothy Kelley and her husband Kevin of San Diego, California. Loving grandmother of ten grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Daughter of the late James M. and Margaret (Hastings) Sullivan. Dear sister of the late William J. Sullivan. Funeral from the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Avenue, Quincy on Saturday, February 18 at 9:30 a.m. Funeral Mass in Saint Josephs Church, 550 Washington Street, Quincy at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting prior to the Mass at the funeral home from 8:30-9:30 a.m. Interment Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
