Lynn Wosser Titlow Lynn passed away on October 4, 2016 after a hard fought battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born on February 10, 1957 to Mary Helen and Joseph Wosser (Lieutentant Colonel, United States Marine Corps) in Waltham, Massachusetts. Her family moved to Reno, Nevada when she was 8 years old. As a youth she became quite involved with horses and competed at the local, regional, and national levels. She graduated from Wooster High School in Reno and then attended the University of Nevada, Reno and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agricultural Economics. It was there that she met her husband, Travis Titlow. They were married on December 23, 1978. They lived in Omaha, Nebraska for four years while Travis attended Creighton Dental School, and she worked as an insurance adjuster. After Omaha they returned to Reno for a short time, but due to better opportunities, moved to the Sacramento area where she again worked as an insurance adjuster. She also became involved with horses again and she and her husband started Travlyn Paint Horses, a breeding and horse showing business. She managed most of the day-to-day needs and activities. She became quite involved in the local, regional, and national levels of the American Paint Horse Association, and in 1991 was elected to the Board of Directors of the national association to represent California. She became a Director at Large this year for being a director for 25 years. She was the Paint Horse industry's Horseman of the Year for the State of California in 1994. In the showing world she was a World Champion and two-time Reserve World Champion in Utility Driving. However, she was even more proud of her daughter Marissa's World and Reserve World Championships in equitation classes and Reserve World Championship in a jumping class. Lynn was a very proud mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother. Her daughter Marissa is married to Eric Harned and they have two sons, Benjamin and Harrison. Her son Ross is married to Abigail LePeilbet and they have a daughter, Lilah. She was very proud of both of her children and their spouses, who all graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno. Lynn was never one to be bored. Her many and various hobbies included raising canaries and other various birds, growing African violets, weaving, raising chinchillas and tortoises, attending home shows and craft shows. She never started a new hobby without thorough research and investigation. She is preceded in death by her first daughter, Marilee, who passed away as an infant due to complications from Edward's Syndrome. She is survived by her husband of almost 38 years, Travis; daughter, Marissa, and son-in-law, Eric; son, Ross, and daughter-in-law, Abigail; and grandchildren Benjamin, Harrison, and Lilah; three sisters, Joellen Wilson, Sue Katzmann, and Nancy McLeod. She will be fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, and all of her family members and friends. Memorial services will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church in Reno, NV on Friday, October 21 at 2:00 PM.
