Lyline A. Galligan
Lyline A. Langford Galligan passed away peacefully on April 9, 2017. Born August 5, 1926, in Highland Park, MI, she is the daughter of Melvin H. Langford from New Hampshire and Alice DesRochers Langford from Amesbury, Massachusetts. She graduated from Marygrove College, Detroit, MI, in 1948 and worked as a Dietician in Connecticut from 1948 - 1951. Lyline married Charles Henry Galligan at St. Mary's Church in Greenwich, CT in March 1951. She Raised 8 children and started her own tax consulting business in Annapolis (Academy Tax Service, 1971 - 2011). She was a long time parishioner of St. Mary's in Annapolis, as well as Catholic Daughters of the Americas, and Annapolis College Women's Club. Her Hobbies were Reading, Travel, Scrabble, and Crossword Puzzles. Lyline is survived by Charles, her husband of 66 years, 8 children (Michael Galligan, Lynda Mader, Carol Cornforth, Pamela Galligan-Stierle, Patrick Galligan, Nancy Fulton, Jim Galligan, and Tim Galligan), along with their spouses, 26 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held at Taylor Funeral Home, 147 Duke of Gloucester Street, Annapolis, MD on Thursday, April 20, 6 - 8 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Duke of Gloucester St., Annapolis, MD on Friday, April 21 at 9:00 am followed by inurnment at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Chesapeake, www.hospicechesapeake.org .
