Lupe Phillips, 83, of El Centro passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 of natural causes in her home in El Centro. She was born July 14, 1933 in Somerton, AZ and later married John W. Phillips on February 2, 1970 in Yuma, AZ. Lupe worked in agriculture to put herself thru school and became a nursing assistant, where worked at ECRMC's cancer/radiology dept. She also dedicated her life to her children, grandchildren, church family and her community. She gave 100% of herself. Mom will be missed but never forgotten. She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Phillips; son, Tommy Federico; great-grandsons, Jordan Rosales and Michael Rivas. Lupe is survived by her sisters, Norma Lugo and Susie Siedler of San Diego, CA; sons, Frank Federico of Washington, Henry (Esther) Llausas of Columbus, OH, Vicky (Jack) Federico of Etna, CA; daughters, Teri (Carlos) Nava, Cynthia Bastidas and Sandra Rosales of El Centro; 29 grandchildren, 53 great-grandkids, nieces, nephews and church family. Pallbearers, Jesse Rosales, Richard Rosales, Jason Rosales, Sonny Rosales, Joseph Llausas, Johnny Federico and Melissa Stevens. Service will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Hems Brothers Mortuary in El Centro with Rosary being said at 9 a.m. and Service at 9:30 a.m. and will be officiated by Henry Llausas Pastor/son. Burial will immediately follow at Evergreen Cemetery in El Centro.
