In memory of
Luella Elizabeth (Cool) Stametz, 97, of Bethlehem, passed away on October 16, 2016, at the home of her daughter, with whom she resided. She was the wife of the late Arthur Stametz, and they celebrated 50 years of marriage one month before his death in 1988. Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Beulah (Fink) Cool. She worked for over 20 years with Pantry Pride and Food Lane. Luella loved to travel, whether a trip to Europe or a picnic in the Poconos, she was happiest with her family. She was part of five generations when her son Larry was born in 1938, and again when her great-great-granddaughter Lexi was born. She was a member of the Beth-Allen Card Club for over 50 years. She was also a member of Trinity UCC Church in Bethlehem, and for many years volunteered her time with the ladies auxiliary where she enjoyed making arts and crafts. Survivors: daughter Lucille Stametz of Bethlehem; sons Thomas Stametz of Allentown, and James Stametz and his wife Deborah of Saylorsburg; daughter-in-law Joann Stametz of Saylorsburg; grandchildren Susan, Benjamin, Daniel, Mark and Kim; great-grandchildren Tara, Lindsay, Ryan, Jacob and Nathan; great-great-grandchildren Lexi, David, Laylah and Reagan. She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur, sister Lena Williams, brother Carl Cool, son Larry Stametz, and great-great-grandsons Jayce and Braden. Services: Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, October 20, 2016 in The Long Funeral Home, Inc., 500 Linden St., Bethlehem, 18018, where friends may call from 10:00 A.M. until time of services. Interment will follow at Hope Cemetery in Hecktown.
