Lucille Crowell, age 100, of Eugene, passed away peacefully into the arms of her Savior on March 23, 2017 with family by her side. She was born December 14, 1916 to Nicholas and Carrie Bertelsen and raised in the Danebo area of West Eugene. Lucille married her high school sweet heart Earle Curtis Tullar in 1938 and had 3 daughters, Sharon Damron (Lee), Anna Mae Maxeiner (Phil), and Earlene Oswald (Lyle). She has 7 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-greats. She was preceded in death by three wonderful husbands Earle Tullar, Ron Schimel, and Dr. Larry Crowell O.D. Lucille held many jobs in retail, managed a restaurant, but was most proud of being a "associate" of the Bon Marche in Eugene and Seattle as a personal manager, retired after 28 years with the company. Lucille has always loved her flowers and gardens. She enjoyed music, golf, cooking, friends and family. Has been a life long member of Bethesda Lutheran Church, and lived at Solvang the past three years. Lucille was preceded in death by her mother and father, sister Elnore Wick (Elmer), niece Julie Wells, many cousins, aunts & uncles. Lucille was a very Special Mother and friend and will be greatly missed by everyone. Her memorial service will be on Friday, April 28th at 2:00pm at Bethesda Lutheran Church, 4445 Royal Ave, Eugene, OR. Memorial contributions can be made to Signature Hospice or Bethesda Lutheran Church.
