Louise W. Spencer
LAUREL/SEAFORD - Louise W. Spencer passed away surrounded by her loving family on Jan. 6, 2017 at the Methodist Manor House. Louise was born in Denton, Md., a daughter of the late James Medford Walls and Sarah Hazel Walls. Louise had worked as a waitress for many years, and was a wonderful homemaker for her family. She was a member of the Christ the Cornerstone Church of Laurel. She and her husband were snowbirds, enjoying many winters in Florida. Louise loved solving puzzles, playing cards and dominos. Louise is survived by her son, Howard Spencer, Jr. of Laurel; daughters, Josephine Adkins (Robert) of Laurel and Debra Benson (Clark) of Delmar; sisters, Mary Ellen Breeding of Hickman, Md., Pauline Layton (George) of Denton, Christine Anthony (Stanley) of Camden Wyoming, and Barbara Salizzoni of Camden Wyoming; grandchildren, Snapper Adkins (Crissie), Dawn Litchford (Steve), Chris Adkins, Sara Walls (Travis), Tyler Benson (Amber) and Seth Benson; great-grandchildren, Angel and Kaitlyn Adkins, Kylee Adkins, Chase Litchford, Hanna and Zachary Walls and Cole Bensonl; her close friend, Donald Pepper of Denton, Md.; numerous nieces and nephews also survive her. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Howard Spencer, Sr. in 2003; and her siblings, Medford Walls, Charles Walls, Tommy Walls, and Louis Walls (her twin). A Funeral Service will be held at the Hannigan, Short, Disharoon Funeral Home 700 West Street Laurel on Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2017 at 1:00 p.m., were a viewing will also be held from 12-1:00 p.m. The Pastor John Rogers will officiate. Interment will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery Laurel, DE.
