In memory of
Lorraine Baginski, 64, of Plains Twp., passed away Monday, April 17, 2017, in Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. Born in Wilkes-Barre on Oct. 24, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Chester and Mary Zaklukiewicz Baginski. She was a graduate of Marymount High School and the Mercy Hospital School of Nursing, both of Wilkes-Barre. Lorraine was employed as a registered nurse by the Geisinger Health System, for 40 years, until her retirement and she was an active member of Ss. Peter and Paul Church, Plains Twp. She was preceded in death by her brother, John Baginski, and her nephew, Michael Baginski. Surviving are her sisters, MaryAnn Aufiero and Barbara Brennan; nephews, Matthew, George, J.C., Christopher and Rhett; niece, Maura; and her longtime companion, Charles Popovich. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday from George A. Strish Inc. Funeral Home, 105 N. Main St., Ashley. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. in Ss. Peter and Paul Church, 13 Hudson Road, Plains Twp., with the Rev. Jack Lambert officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Twp. Family and friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday.
