Lorn W. FREDERICKSEN
February 14, 2017 Lorn W. Fredericksen passed peacefully at the age of 82 on February 14, 2017 in West Sacramento, California where he lived for over 60 years. Born in St. Helena, in his early years Lorn was a resident of Lower Lake California. He graduated from Clarksburg High School where he was a star of the baseball team. In 1956 he married the love of his life Betty Eckhardt, and then went to work in the family trucking business Fredericksen Tank Lines (FTL). During his 35-year tenure with FTL he helped grow the business from 6 to 48 trucks, spanning three locations. Lorn spent many years coaching Little League, girl's softball, and always loved watching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren play sports. As a great outdoorsman Lorn enjoyed hunting, boating, and fishing. He was also an avid Oakland A's fan. Lorn was preceded in death by his loving sister Crystal. He is survived by his wife of 60 years Betty, his sister Ginger, daughter Kelly and son Gary (Shelly). Lorn is also survived by grandchildren Brandon (Kelly), Casey (Amanda), Holly (Steve), Corey (Janine), William, Mary, 6 great- grandchildren and several nieces and nephews, especially Cousin Karen. Gravesite services will be held at Lower Lake Cemetery, 9040 Lake Street, Lower Lake, CA 95457 on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at 11am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Our Lady of Grace School.
