Loleta Tangey NEWARK: A funeral service for Loleta Mae Rayburn Tangey will be held on Thursday October 20, 2016 at 12pm at Brucker Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st Street, Newark, OH 43055. Family will greet friends from 6-8pm on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at the funeral home and from 11am-12pm on Thursday prior to the service. Licking Chapter 551 Order of the Eastern Star will hold their services at 5:45pm on Wednesday at the funeral home prior to calling hours. Burial will follow the funeral service at Kirkersville Cemetery 399 E Main St, Kirkersville, OH 43033. An active member of the Order of the Eastern Star for over 70 years passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at the age of 98. Loleta loved the Eastern Star and all that they stood for. She recently received her 70 year member pin. Loleta was born March 27, 1918 in Sandusky, OH, the first of 5 daughters born to Ernest Rayburn and Oneta Belle (Wolfe) Rayburn. She and her mother were named after Native American friends of her maternal grandfather, Harry Thomas Wolfe. Two of her 4 sisters, Laurene Anne Rayburn Wilson and Clara Ellen Rayburn Pillows preceded her in death. She is survived by her sisters, Betty Jean Rayburn Kleinschrodt of Bucyrus, OH and Ruth Elaine Rayburn Braddock of Heath, OH. Loleta is also preceded in death by her husbands, Frank James Shipley, Robert Paul Bradshaw, Norman Zuck, and Charles Novinger Tangey. She is survived by her son, James Thomas Shipley. She also leaves behind 9 step-children, 4 grandchildren, 18 step grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 23 step great-grandchildren, 9 great-greatgrandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Loleta worked for many years in the Licking County Boy Scouts Office. She was also a long time member of the Heath United Methodist Church.
