Short, Lois Ann DeVita Lois Ann DeVita Short, 75, of Concord, passed away on Monday September 12, 2016 at Tucker Hospice House. Lois was born on April 27, 1941 in Broome County, NY to the late James DeVita and Helen Augusta DeVita. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Philip A. Short of Concord; two sons, Keith Campbell of Greene, NY, and Kenneth Campbell of Endicott, NY; two daughters, Lory Campbell of Charlotte, and Karen Warden (Jamie) of Lakewood, NY; step-children, Allan Short (Eve) of Daphne, AL, and Becky Doughton of Roanoke, VA; two brothers, Ronald DeVita (Marilyn) of Endicott, NY, and James DeVita Jr. (Judy) of Owego, NY; and eleven grandchildren. Lois was a member of Cold Springs United Methodist Church of Concord. She worked at IBM in the purchasing department. She was a very talented baker and loved making cakes and cookies for her family and friends. More than anything, she loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday October 15, 2016 at 2:00 PM at First United Methodist Church (53 McKinley Ave., Endicott, NY 13760) conducted by Rev. Austin. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Jeff Gordon Children's Hospital (Levine Children's Hospital, 1000 Blythe Blvd., Charlotte, NC 28203) or to your local Animal Rescue Shelter in Lois's memory.
