Lois M. Schenecker Lersch
Lois M. Schenecker Lersch, 81, of Bridgeville, passed peacefully into the waiting arms of her Lord Friday, October 7, 2016. She loved spending time with family and friends and dedicated her life to taking care of the needs of others. Regular visitors to Shop 'n Save, where she most recently worked in the coffee shop, received a warm and friendly welcome and personalized service. For many years, in addition to being a wife, mother and grandmother, she was a bookkeeper in the family construction business. With three children and moving from the suburbs to a farm in Eighty Four, she took on a heavy burden and kept up with all that came with a new lifestyle. Then, with another son, she brought more life into the family. During her little spare time, she enjoyed knitting and reading novels. She attended Holy Child Roman Catholic Church in Bridgeville. She will be missed as a loving and caring mother, sister, wife and friend. Deceased are her parents, Charles "Chick" and Lorene (Martin) Schenecker, and a brother, Charles Schenecker, all of the Pittsburgh area. Surviving are a sister, Linda (George) Koontz of Castle Shannon; four children, David (Lynne) Lersch of Waterford, Conn., Daniel (Sherry) Lersch of Eighty Four, Laura (Steve) Hutter of Upper St. Clair and Dale (Suzanne) Lersch of Penn Hills; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Ms. Lersch and her family received kind and professional care in St. Clair Hospital, particularly its cardiovascular surgical unit. At the request of the deceased, all services are private. Arrangements are entrusted to Warchol Funeral Home Inc., Bridgeville, 412-221-3333. Expressions of condolences are welcome and may be made to individual family members at www.warcholfuneralhome.com .
