Linda S. Werner
Linda Schneider Werner Atlantic, Virginia-Linda Lou Schneider Werner, 61, of Atlantic VA passed away, Wednesday, October 12, 2016, after a two year battle with pancreatic cancer. Born April 29th, 1955 in West Bend Wisconsin, Linda is the daughter of Donald and Garnet Schneider of West Bend WI. Linda is survived by her parents, her husband of 42 years, Barry Werner of Atlantic VA, Two children, Heidi (Robin) Womack of Bel Air MD, Nicholas (Robin) Werner of Bozman MD, Two grandchildren, Grace Womack and Nicholas Jr. She is further survived by a brother, Gary (Ann) Schneider of West Bend, Brothers in law Mark (Lisa) Werner of Newburyport MA, and Patrick (Barb) Werner of Waxhaw NC, Mother in law Carol Werner of Amesbury MA, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Linda was pre deceased by her brother Jeffrey. Linda graduated with honors from West Bend West high school in 1973. She later attended the University of Florida in Jacksonville FL and the University of Virginia Eastern Shore. Linda was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic church of Pocomoke City MD. Linda worked in banking on the Eastern shore starting with Central Fidelity and continued working through four bank mergers completing her employment with PNC bank of Chincoteague. Although she was not a native of the Eastern shore Linda embraced the lifestyle and cultures of the shore and every home she and Barry shared during their career in the United States Navy. Linda's passions were her family and decorating. Time with her children and grandchildren were precious moments for her. Her friends were like family and she will be missed by many. Linda's family would like to thank the doctors and staff of Johns Hopkins Sidney Kimmel cancer center of Baltimore, The Richard A. Henson Cancer Institute of Peninsula Regional Medical Center, Salisbury MD and Riverside Hospice of the Eastern Shore for their professional care and support during her illness. Linda's wishes are that there will be no viewing. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at the Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Pocomoke City on Saturday October 22 at 1:00 PM. Linda asks that Memorials be made in her name to the Youth Ministries program of: Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 1913 Old Virginia Road, Pocomoke City MD 21851.
