Linda Trachman, 64 of Altus, passed away late Tuesday evening, April 18, at Jackson County Memorial Hospital in Altus. Mrs. Trachman was born in Minden, Louisiana on July 20, 1952 to Huey P. Long and Mary Louise Woods. A graduate of Woodlawn High School in Shreveport, Louisiana, Linda moved to Altus in 1977 to be near her mother. On July 6, 1979, Linda married the love of her life, Michael D. Trachman and they spent the next 37 wonderful years together until her untimely death. In 1980, they opened Quality Cleaners, where Linda worked until 2001. For many years, Linda served as the secretary at St. Paul's Episcopal Church. In her spare time, Linda enjoyed working on crafts and gardening, but most of all she loved being with her family and friends. Preceded in death by her father, she is survived by her husband Mike Trachman of the home; her mother Mary Hinton of Altus; four children, Rissa Trachman of Greensboro, N.C., Mark Trachman of Houston, Steven Roppolo of Altus and Brandon Trachman of Oklahoma City; one sister Melinda Long of Oklahoma City; one brother Rodney Long and wife Helene of Lawton; two grandchildren, Kelli Melton and husband Daniel, and Sydney Owen; six great-grandchildren along with many other relatives and friends. Memorial services for Linda Trachman will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 22, at St. Paul's Episcopal Church with Dean Bill Carroll officiating.
