Linda Louise Kaeser was born into eternal life on October 14, 2016, at the age of 77, with her family at her side, at Sutter Medical Center, the hospital she retired from after 31 years of service as a Registered Nurse. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Jerry; her two sons, Gregory, and wife, Janet; and Christopher, and wife, Carin; four grandchildren, Amanda, Meredith, Morgan and Nicholas; and her sister Nancy Stephens. Linda was born on December 19, 1938, in Sacramento, California, grew up in Mokelumne Hill, and attended Calaveras High School. Linda went on to nursing school at the University of San Francisco. After graduating, Linda moved to Sacramento to work briefly at Mercy General Hospital before switching to the surgical department at Sutter General Hospital. It was in Sacramento where Linda fortuitously agreed to a blind date and met her future husband, Jerry. Linda was a 17 year cancer survivor and was always extremely positive as she battled its many effects in the years that followed. Linda loved to travel with Jerry in their various recreational vehicles, driving across the United States many times to experience the wonders of 48 different states. Linda especially loved to sew, knit and crochet items for others, and created many complex and dramatic pieces in her favorite pastime, needlepoint. Linda loved to bake during the holidays. Her much anticipated and delicious trays of baked goods will be greatly missed by many during the Christmas Holidays. Linda was deeply devoted to her family and friends. She especially enjoyed seeing and hearing from her grandchildren. Linda will be greatly missed. Rosary: October 23 at 7:00 p.m. at Nicoletti, Culjis, Herberger, 5401 Folsom Blvd., Sacramento.
