Linda Sue (Hubby) Brandon
Linda Sue Brandon of Clovis, NM passed away peacefully on January 5, 2017, after an extended illness. She was 71 years old. Linda died in the care of her children, Heather and Todd Mayo at their home in Ft. Worth, TX. Linda is survived by her four children and their spouses: Brendon and Annette Sehorn of Los Alamos, NM; Tim and Kim Price of Farwell, TX; Todd and Heather Mayo of Ft. Worth, TX; and Nathan Sehorn of Bryan, TX. She is also survived by seven grandchildren: Amanda Stanton, Christina Rowton, Breanna Sehorn, Aaron Brija, Ashtyn Brija, Hannah Mayo, Sophia Mayo and Genevieve May; and five great grandchildren: Cody Stanton, Cory Stanton, Xavier Garcia, Nevaeh Garcia, and Aaron Adams, Jr. Linda was born to Benjamin Hubby and Ollie Duke Hubby on June 16, 1945, in Clarksville, AR. She was raised in Clovis, NM and Waldron, AR. She met George L. Sehorn of Waldron and was married in 1961. The couple moved to Clovis in 1967 along with their two oldest children. Over the years Linda and George built their lives and careers and adding two more children to their family. Although they divorced in 2001, Linda and George remained friends. Linda provided merciful care to George during the last year of his life until he ultimately succumbed to terminal illness in 2008. Linda was married to Cliff Brandon in Clovis, NM in 2002. The two remained happily married until Cliff passed away in 2014. Linda loved the Lord and was a long-time member of Central Christian Church and was most recently attending services at Bethel Church, both in Clovis. She was known to have a "green thumb" and enjoyed raising plants both inside and outside the home. Linda embodied the words of Albert Einstein, "a life lived for others is the only life worth living". Linda was kind and compassionate to anyone she encountered, most especially to the elderly. She enjoyed visiting residents of the local nursing home, certainly brightening the days of many folks who enjoyed her visits. Linda was preceded in death by her parents as well as her sisters, Patsy Hubby of Clovis, NM and DAun Winfield of Salida, CO, and her brother James (Jimmy) Hubby of Clovis, NM. She has a surviving brother, Bennie Joe Hubby of BV, AR. Linda was a daughter, wife, mother, grandmother; friend and confidant. She will be greatly missed by all she leaves behind.
