Lillian Stuckman, of Verona, passed peacefully Friday, Feb. 10, 2017, at Mercy Hospital, just days after celebrating her 95th birthday. Lil was raised in Leechburg and lived in the Verona area for the past 60 years. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank Stuckman, who passed in 1998; loving mother of James (Debbie), of Verona, and John (Dianne), of Gibsonia; grandmother of Grant, Garrett and Parker Stuckman, who were her pride and joy; and aunt of Karen Jurkovic, of Greensburg, who held a special place in her heart. She is also survived by her granddaughter and great-granddaughter by marriage, Dayle and Shelby Lunn. Lil was a long time member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Verona and was part of their Women's Group. She was also a member of the Rosedale Women's Group and St. John's Lutheran's Golden Friends Group. In her younger years, she worked as a telephone switchboard operator, but was most happy as a homemaker. She was known for baking pies for every occasion, having baked one just last week. She was active, strong and feisty, and continued to live independently at home until her last days. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12, 2017, at the ENGLISH FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES INC., 378 Maryland Ave., Oakmont, PA 15139.
