She leaves her dear siblings, Anya Ushakova Crain, Olga Menendez, Vova Gitskij and Marina Ushakova. She was the adored grandmother of 5 grandchildren, and a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews near and far, who loved her deeply. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vera (Ushakova) von Doepp and Oleg Ingistov and older brother Sergei Davidenkoff. Born in Caracas, Venezuela of Russian descent, she married Hector Vargas in Monterey, California in 1982 and thereafter moved to Marin County where they ultimately settled. During her 40 year career in Human Resources, mostly in Optical Manufacturing, she served at many levels in an executive capacity, becoming a Director of Human Resources. Lidia was a kind, and genuine loving wife, a devoted mother, loyal sister and wonderful friend to so many. Words could never fully express the impact Lidia had on each and every person who entered her life. To know Lidia was to be in the presence of a truly special person. Her sense of humor and zest for life were best on display when cooking for family and friends during the holidays and other celebrations over the years.
