LEROY HAROLD HARRIS BLOOMINGTON, IN Mr. Leroy Harris of Bloomington, IN passed away suddenly Wednesday October 12, 2016. He had been a Bloomington resident since 1978. Mr. Harris is predeceased by his wife, Helen Farmer Harris in 2004. Leroy was born on September 18, 1922 in Fairfield IL to Robert Earl and Mabel Carter Harris. Leroy served in the US Army under General George Patton during WWII which he fought in the Battle of the Bulge and was present during D-Day. Leroy worked for Cities Service and US Steel prior to his retirement. Mr. Harris is survived by daughters: Linda Lieberman of Highland, IN, Carolyn Harris of Sun City Center, FL, and Kathleen Brown of Indianapolis, IN; son, James Harris of Bloomington, IN. Mr. Harris has seven grandchildren: Christine Wynne Andrade of Plant City, FL, Michael Lieberman of Highland, IN, Bryan and Sohni Lieberman of Sarasota, FL, Daniel Borman of Maricopa, AZ, Justin and Peggy Lieberman of Lowell, IN, Jessica Harris Ripley of Bloomington, IN, and Adrienne Brown of Denver, Co. Mr. Harris has four great grandsons: Michael Wynne and William Wynne of Plant City FL, Benjamin Lieberman of Lowell, IN, and Ryan Ripley of Bloomington, IN; and two great grandchildren on the way. Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens in Schererville, Indiana.
