Leone "Noni" Dalrymple formerly of Indianapolis, passed away on December 22 in Red Bank, New Jersey. She was 92. Born and raised in Geneva, Illinois, Noni earned a bachelor's degree in journalism from Michigan State University and worked as an editorial assistant at the Ladies Home Journal in New York City before marrying Robert Dalrymple in 1949. In 1955, they settled in Indianapolis, where Noni was a very busy homemaker and volunteer. She gave many hours of her time to the Children's Bureau Auxiliary, the Indiana Kidney Foundation, her local ESL Language Center, Second Helpings, and her church. She enjoyed reading, tending houseplants, golfing, and cooking. She had an insatiable curiosity and loved to travel - even after her 80th birthday, she toured Australia, Russia, Israel and Greece. She was a wonderful wife and mother and a very good friend. She was pre-deceased by her parents, Martin and Clara Seastrom; her brothers, Robert, Kenneth, and David Seastrom; her sister, Margaret Goodband; her husband, Robert Dalrymple; and her older son, Christopher Dalrymple. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Goeddel (husband, Tom); her younger son, John Dalrymple (wife, Toni Kiener); and her grandchildren, Robert and Katherine Goeddel. A service of remembrance and thanksgiving for Noni's life will take place on Saturday, January 14, 11:00 a.m. at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, 3535 Kessler Blvd North Dr, Indianapolis, IN 46222. A luncheon reception at the church will follow. The family respectfully asks that in lieu of sending flowers, donations be made to Second Helpings or to St. Andrew Presbyterian Church. Arrangements by Flanner and Buchanan-Broad Ripple.
